Emptying and Offering

This is what Yeshua did. And we are called to imitate Him. So what does this mean for us?

Surely it means that we also are to empty and offer. But what does this actually mean, practically?

We have to put aside all our own ideas, even our ideas about what our ministry call is, put aside our goals and ambitions, give up everything we are and have. This is what emptying is. And this is what Yeshua did. He was and is God, but He didn’t cling to that. He became a servant, a bondslave.

Are we prepared to do this, to become nothing as it were? Or do we cling to things believing we are entitled to them for some reason. Really we are entitled to nothing, We are only saved because of His Amazing Grace and Love.

Surely we can put aside what we think we are, or think we can offer, and just offer what He wants us to?

Yeshua did not say, ‘Hey, I am God the Son’. No He said ‘i am Your son, i will become Your bondslave and i will do what You ask me to do. No matter what the cost.’

Offering to Adonai  is to be on His terms not ours.

What is this blog for anyway?

This has been a bit of a trial for me. figuring out which way to go with the blog, or even whether to blog at all. I really have not been motivated, but it isn’t about me, or it shouldn’ be.

So what I will be doing is looking to share from my devotions.

This morning I was reading about following the example of Yeshua who emptied Himself and became a bondslave and died.

Now I may not have to die physically as a martyr for my faith, but I am called to put others before myself, infact to not even consider myself at all in many ways. For I am to serve others as He did and still does. He doesn’t insist on His rights of equality with the Father for that is not the way of the Servant-Son.

We are called to live the lifestyle of offering.
